President

Peter Kent founded this firm over 50 years ago with the mission to focus on servicing health care providers. Over the years, the healthcare industry’s needs have continued to grow and change, and the firm has likewise expanded its services to include a wide variety of services to assist providers in generating revenue. Peter has advocated for his clients before the Superior Court, Massachusetts Appeals Court, and Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court with unsurpassable results.

Charlene Kent

Charlene has been working at the firm since 1989. She is the Managing Director of the legal staff, is the Director of the Motor Vehicle and Workers’ Compensation Department, and our Compliance Officer. She also specializes in provider hearings before the Office of Medicaid’s Board of Hearings. Charlene has experience with Superior Court cases and has co-briefed cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Michelle Rhudick - Executive Director of Business Development

Michelle has been working at the firm since 1984.  Michelle has been an instrumental member of this firm since its inception. Michelle manages our Client Service Department and is our executive liaison with our customers. She is an expert in MassHealth and managed care organization claims and payment systems, and oversees our firm’s Claims Processing Unit. Michelle also educates our client’s staff on billing regulations and conducts analysis for our clients of their claims denials.

Maria Little

Director of Operations and Human Resources

Maria has been working at the firm since 1992.  Maria is the Manager of the Applications Department and oversees the intricacies of the application process and is the client liaison to ensure customer satisfaction.  In addition, Maria is the Director of Human Resources, with extensive training in employment law.  She oversees the administration of health insurance benefits, family medical leave, and educates the staff on all benefits. Maria’s responsibilities include managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.  In addition, she manages the business support staff and directs the entire business administration of the firm.

Melinda Reunanen

Assistant Manager of Claims Department

Melinda has been working at the firm since 1992. She is an expert in billing MassHealth, Commercial Health, and out-of-state carriers. She has extensive knowledge of the ever-changing billing standards for each carrier, including electronic billing, and oversees the training and quality assurance for our billing staff. Melinda is responsible for the workflow of the billing department.  She also oversees reports and staff follow-up on all billing files.  

Betsy Lingren

Assistant Manager of Motor Vehicle and Workers’ Compensation Department

Betsy has been working at the firm since 1992. Betsy is a specialist with the complex coordination of motor vehicle claims and navigating these claims to the personal injury protection carrier, MedPay carrier, health insurance carrier, and bodily injury carrier. She is highly trained in the regulations regarding the submission and payment of workers’ compensation claims. Betsy coordinates communications with all attorneys’ offices. She is responsible for training and oversees the training and quality assurance of our motor vehicle and workers’ compensation staff.

Rosa Negron

Assistant Manager of Applications Department

Rosa has been working at the firm since 1994 and has extensive knowledge of the MassHealth eligibility regulations. She oversees the referrals from our clients, manages client inquiries, and oversees staff reporting and follow-up.  Rosa is responsible for overseeing the submission and follow-through of all Medicaid applications.  Rosa reviews all approvals and denials for accuracy and when necessary appeals erroneous determinations.

Terri Doherty

Assistant Manager of Operations and Human Resources

Terri has been working at the firm since 1999.  Terri is responsible for overseeing our Business Support Department. She assists in the coordination of all outgoing and incoming mail and all data entry.  Terri is also the office scheduling liaison with the Board of Hearings regarding MassHealth application appeals.  As the Assistant Manager of Human Resources, Terri is trained in employment law, as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Melissa McDonough

Assistant Manager of Client Services

Melissa has been working with the firm since 1995.  Melissa is responsible for the coordination of communications with our clients. She oversees the referrals from our clients, manages client inquiries, and oversees client reporting. Melissa has extensive training with all of our client’s billing systems, which is critical to our firm’s ability to obtain billing information without burdening our clients. She also oversees the complicated task of coordinating both hospital and physician enrollments for out-of-state providers.

Maurene Crothers

IS Coordinator

Maurene has been working at the firm since 2007. As our IS coordinator, she is our liaison with both our clients and billing entities. Maurene is responsible for coordinating our remote access with clients, electronic billing with health carriers, and maintaining our infer-structure so that our firm is on the cutting edge of technology. Maurene is also responsible for the internal IT support of the entire company.
